We have the perfect reason to celebrate Sept 18th, Pumpkin Pie!  This week will mark the beginning of Pumpkin Pie season at Sweet Thea, pick one up for $15.

Now is also a good time to start planning your fall/winter garden. At our Market Merchandise table we have a selection of West Coast Seeds available for you to purchase.  Alex can also give you some helpful tips on what to plant and where for the fall/winter season, and his advice is FREE!

Speaking of fall and winter, if you fine the colder nights are getting to you, check out the knitted sweater's at Anne's Gallery. Anne has an assortment of Ladies', Men's and children's sweaters in either traditional Aran or Irish patterns, as well as designer styles. Additionally, all sweaters are made from natural materials (Merino, wool, cotton/linen mixes), come in many colours and are reasonably priced.

Please welcome our new vendor this week, Backyard Vineyards!  Come and taste their lovely local wines.

Fun things happening at our market:

  • Ask Dr. Wayne Jakeman from Heritage Wellness Centre questions about eating well and peeling away the layers to discover any possible problems within.  He will be available from 5pm to 7pm
  • Create your very own bean sprout necklace with our market volunteers
  • Jeremy “Mr. Yoyo” will be at the market to teach you some yo yo moves

The New Westminster Public Library will be at the market to let you know all about their amazing programs happening this fall.  The Music Stage will be featuring the always entertaining Dave Paterson.

Looking for something tasty for dinner?  You’re in luck we’ve got two trucks for you to choose from for dinner, Big Red’s Poutine and Gypsy Trunk Gourmet Fare.

Directions to the market:  You can reach the market via transit by taking the 106 bus or the Skytrain to Columbia Street Station and walking to the market at 4th and Royal. Parking is available in the neighbourhood for free along Royal Avenue, Queens Avenue, or at City Hall’s lot after 4:30.  Handicap parking is available at the bottom of the market accessible via 4th street.
