Squamish Farmers' Market
Good afternoon to all you lovely market subscribers!
The weather might be cooling off a bit this market to 24 degrees and sort of cloudy, so while it may not a beach day, it will be a perfect day to visit the Squamish Farmers Market (like always)!
Come see a live musical performance by Carolyn Grass and Friends from 12-3, and while you sway to their beats, check out the large variety of vendors we have this week! Kara’s Crepes is excited to come and share her yummy freshly-made crepes for the first time at our market. Bug Hungry will there with her unique cricket snacks (try ‘em out!). The Rokin’ Wok is back!!! As is Earthcraft Handmade with their beautiful macrame jewelry, perfect for gifts (perhaps for yourself). And of course, make sure you check out this week’s #sfmathome recipe (part of our new market Recipe Share project!), which has been brought to us by Bowen Island Herb Salts, who you can get the special ingredient from- one of their own unique salt blends!
While you shop, let your kids stop at the Zero Waste booth (located by Sargent Poppers Kettle Corn this week) for an awesome decorative “god’s eye” kids craft of the week, using colourful string and popsicle sticks! It will be running from 11-1pm. There are also 50/50 tickets to buy (19+), for 1 ticket for $2 or 2 for $3, and the winner will be drawn at 2pm! All proceeds go towards running the market and more fun market activities!
And while you’re around for this lovely long weekend, of course don’t miss out on Squamish’s own annual Logger Sports Festival! Check out the list of activities for this 5-day event HERE.
We’re all very excited for this fun weekend coming up, and hope you are too! See you soon at the market!
