Cheese & Bees!

This week, our market “What’s In Booth” will be buzzing... with bees! Local bee keeper, Todd Griffiths, will be sharing all about the journey of the honey bee – from flower to hive to honey in your tea! Come and learn about these fantastic insects- their fine honey production and importance in our ecosystem!

Fresh Picks Tip of the Week:
What to do with all of that zucchini?? You’ll eat it up with these fixings! Slice your zucchini fairly thick, approximately 1.5cm, brush with olive oil (enhanced with salt & herbs), grill on the BBQ, after flipping, spread pesto on top, and add a chunk of cheddar. By the time the second side has grilled, the pesto is hot and the cheese is melted. Voila!!

You can get some delicious cheeses at the market this Saturday, as Farm House Cheeses will be onsite with their wagon full of dairy delights!! Make your own pesto with the market basil & garlic. Check out the recipe on our website!!

Shone is taking care of music at the market this Saturday.  Enjoy some fine music you can sing along with and some great originals too! Come for the food & arts, stay for a fantastic venue of local music and talent!!
